Helping my Sis

My sister, her husband, and 9 year old son moved this weekend.  We helped them.  My brother-in-law is a soldier.  He had served our country faithfully for years.
This move brought him closer to where he serves.  It also brought my sister closer to home.  I have missed her greatly. For seven years she has lived two hours away.  Now, she's only around 45 minutes from me.
I pray continually for my sister and her family.  My sister is such a wonderful woman.  She's a devoted mother and more generous than anyone I know.  I pray because I love her.  I pray because she's not saved.
Many of us have unsaved loved ones.  It grabs our hearts to know the possible eternal future of someone we would give our lives for.
My sister has a very solid middle class lifestyle.  Her husband is a successful soldier, an officer, that has worked steadily through advancement, trainings, overseas tours, and battles.  The couple has reached a comfortable place financially.
I often think that those that are full on other things have a tough time feeling spiritual hunger.  It's like a child that is full on potato chips and candy; they won't want the vegetables and healthy foods.  It isn't until malnutrition causes problems that the search may begin for something of quality.  Unfortunately, many never search and die from their choices.
It's hard to be hungry for Christ when you are full of everything else.  I can only pray that God will awaken that hunger in my unsaved loved ones.  Until that day, I do my best to show the love of Christ and pray for their salvation.
