The Unexpected

My husband and I doing ministry work
It's been a busy couple of days.  It all started a couple days ago when I received a couple texts from my husband early in the morning.  He had gotten hurt at work.  I rushed to his job.  Luckily, it wasn't major and he'll be okay in a couple of days.  It was unexpected though.  What was supposed to be a relaxing day turned into one of running and unplanned activities.

Then, today, I helped my husband with my mother-in-law.  About a month ago she fell at her job and shattered her ankle.  After surgery, she still isn't supposed to put any weight on her ankle.  Getting around is not easy, so we've been making sure she gets to her doctor's appointments.

Homeschooling has happened.  Laura has been working on it with her sisters.  I'll find out tomorrow how well she's been doing.

Life has gotten exhausting the last couple of days.  However, I know that nothing happens that is not in God's will.  My husband's injuries are minor and  I know we brought a lot of joy to my mother-in-law today.  Just getting her out of the house and taking her to lunch made her feel a lot better.

The hope is that after a good night's sleep I can focus in the morning on my home and children.  I'm really feeling the desire to simplify things.  With cooler weather coming, I know that I will be spending the majority of my time in the house.  I want it peaceful.  I want to feel comfortable and blessed in my home.  Here's hoping I can get some things accomplished over the next couple weeks to help me towards my goals.
