Tomorrow... The Big Day

Tomorrow my little girl gets married.

Where did the time go?  It seems like yesterday that she was meeting her kindergarten teacher.  Now she has gone to college and worked in a career and is getting married.

We had the rehearsal today.  Oh how fun and bittersweet at the same time.  This isn't my first daughter to marry, but I imagine each precious child getting married is a touching time.

God is amazing.  A year ago my daughter nearly died.  Now she is marrying her boyfriend of several years.  When she nearly died two weeks after he proposed, he stayed by her side.  She underwent long hospital stays and major surgeries and countless doctor visits and lots of medical care, including a nurse at her home.  There was a time last year when she couldn't walk up stairs and had to be pushed in a wheelchair just to go anywhere.  He stayed by her side.  He took care of her.  He moved her closer to the hospital and her doctors.  He loves her even more.

Why is God amazing?  He was there, through every step of this tough road, with my daughter and her fiance.

Tomorrow they marry. I can only pray that the Lord will walk with them every step for the rest of their lives.
