Christmas 2011

We had such a blessed Christmas this year.  I was surrounded by my children, and I couldn't ask for anything more.
Or course, there was more.  I didn't want to spend a lot on Christmas this year.  My older girls felt otherwise.  One of them has missed seeing her sisters since moving out, so she spoiled them... and me... a little.  The oldest also wanted to get at least one really good gift for her younger siblings.
As a mom, I totally was grateful for the love the older ones rained on the younger ones.  It made me proud, not that they spent money, but that they really put so much effort into finding special gifts for their younger sisters.
Christmas morning was chaos, with wrapping paper everywhere.  But, it was special to me to have all the girls together.
We then went to a wonderful Christmas Day service at church.  I love when Christmas lands on a Sunday.  I love having the opportunity to go to church and worship the whole reason for the Season... Christ.  It was a beautiful service.
Later that afternoon we joined my husband's family for dinner and gifts.  We make our gifts for the adults in the family.  I received some beautiful hand made jewelry from the sister-in-law that drew my name last year.
It was a great time.  All I can say is that God has blessed me with a family that I love very much.
