Christmas Eve 2011

I'm trying to get my Christmas pictures uploaded to my computer so I can share them.  We had a nice Christmas this year.  I had all of my children home, and we got to enjoy time with family.
We spent Christmas Eve at my sister's home.  My other sister came from a couple hours away.  We had a great time with wonderful food, family, and gifts.
It was such a nice feeling to spend time with my daughter, Tasha.
While it was bittersweet, all the grandchildren were given special gifts.  Grandma has sorted out some of her collectibles and gave them to the great-grandkids for Christmas.  Laura received a collection of porcelain dogs that she has loved for years.  These things aren't worth much monetarily, though they are old, but they mean so much because they remind us of Grandma.
My kids are blessed.  They have had the privilege of growing up with their great-grandmother as part of their lives.  They live close to her, see her regularly, and love her immensely.  Her health hasn't been the best, so we know to cherish every moment, knowing that each day is a gift.  We know God will call her home soon, but until that day comes, we will love her with all our hearts.
Yes, this bear is bigger than my daughter.  She LOVED it!  It was a gift from a friend that knew how much Megan wanted a big bear.  She was shocked and hugged the thing for quite awhile.
My mom wanted a grandchild picture.  We gathered all seven of my mother's grandchildren on the couch for a cute pic.  Of course, the two younger ones didn't want to cooperate.
I thank God for the wonderful time with family that He blessed us with.
