Laura went through this book for a couple weeks. We checked it out from the library, but this is truly one I might buy in the future. It is awesome. Laura went through it rather quickly, but I would love to do it again in the near future at a much slower pace.
The book basically is a devotional for children about some of the choices they will encounter. It discusses in frank detail topics ranging from giving thanks before meals, stealing, discipline, fighting, watching wrong things on TV, helping, manners, forgiveness, patience, attitude, and so much more. It is a cute book, written in a style for kids that is at their level but doesn't talk down to them.
I liked it. My daughter liked it. I don't often think about the choices an eight year old will encounter. This book hits right on target with kids in managing their own thoughts and actions to please God. I didn't look at this book as so easy it would bore a child my daughter's age or even a bit older. Yet, I could probably begin to read it to my toddler in a year or two and she would grasp the concepts. It is a book for a very wide age span.
