A quick brush through Tut's Mummy

Laura was to read this book in a week. I knew it was easy for her. I figured she would finish it in a three or four days. She read it in one. She came running up to me after she was done saying, "Mom, that was a cool book!" I'm glad she enjoyed it. She has kind of dragged lately through her books. None of them seem to catch her interest. I figured she just had a small case of Spring Fever. However, it is nice to be able to see that spark in her eyes once again.

She will be doing World History next year, so I've been wanting to throw in a book here or there that will introduce some other cultures. This book showed me that she might enjoy learning about other places. Her oldest sister, Kim, had an interest in Egyptian culture when she was younger. She has told me that she would love to help Laura learn about the area when she starts to study it more in depth.
