I signed Laura up for 4-H quite awhile back. I was beginning to think I missed some important phone call or something because I hadn't heard of any meeting. Then, today, I got a call. Hopefully this will be something Laura can try and enjoy. Her first meeting is Friday afternoon. I don't really believe in a child being involved in a ton of extra curricular activities. I think many kids are over-scheduled and just need time to go out and play and be kids. But at the moment Laura is only involved in the Mpact Girls program at our church. She doesn't like to play sports. (We tried soccer for years. She had little interest.)
Laura is still developing her own unique personality and interests. Homeschooling has helped this process. Her summer activities will hopefully just add to her unique personality and individuality. So far she'll have 4-H, VBS and the Library Reading Program.
