Tonight at church we are beginning the Fireproof Series. We will start with watching the movie, which I own and saw in the theater. Then, for the next few weeks we will learn lessons based on the movie and the book "The Love Dare". I bought the book awhile back, but haven't really begun to do what it says wholeheartedly. I want to, I just get sidetracked and put it off. But now, I really want to. I think the time has come.
My husband and I have been through a lot. We've come out on the other side of some pretty intense trials. However, if God has something else for us to learn then I want to learn. There is on greater gift I can give our children then to have a good marriage with my husband.
I think there is going to be more to these lessons than just marriage tips. Like the movie says, You can't give to someone else what you don't have. I want to get closer to God. I can't get closer to my husband unless I get closer to God.
