Scary Schedules

My two highschoolers came home today with tentative schedules for next year. Sometimes I wonder why I don't just homeschool them. Then, I see their schedules and I know I am not ready to teach their classes. Chemistry 2, Human Anatomy, Probability and Statistics...Ugh! I can not teach those things at this point. I have a few years before Laura is that age and might have to make those decisions. Will I still be homeschooling her during her highschool years? If she still wants to be homeschooled, then I will find programs or people that can help her in areas that I can not.
I do consider myself very lucky, however. Despite public school, my children love God. They are following Christ with their lives. My oldest will only go to school for half a day next year so that she can work and intern with out pastor at our church. Then, she plans to attend a Christian college for ministry and music.
My 15 year old will be a junior this year. She is wanting to begin cadet teaching. I told her a few months ago that I thought she would be an amazing teacher. I told her to begin to pray about what God wanted for her. To hear that my Tasha feels lead to children and teaching is nice. God is going to use her in some amazing ways. She may not see it at this point in her life, but I do.
I know I am totally blessed. To have teenagers following Chirst when they weren't raised in a Chirstian home for many years makes me just want to thank and praise God. If it weren't for God putting godly people in my children's lives before my husband and I turned to Christ, then who knows what would have happened. God protected my kids. That is the only explanation. He protected them from worldly influences through some very precious people.
It may have taken awhile for me and my husband to return to the Savior we knew as children. But like the prodigal, He was there with open arms. Imagine how blessed we feel to truly know that he was working in our lives all along, even when we screwed up or didn't notice him.
