Fun Fest

We had our 2nd annual Fun Fest for our church. The Girls all had a blast. I thought, silly me, that the girls wouldn't get as much candy as if they were trick or treating. I even took them around the town for a little bit when Fun Fest was just beginning. But, this year the candy give away at the Fun Fest was insane! There was lots of games. For each game they got tickets. At first a ticket was worth a piece of candy . Yeah, that didn't last. They had so much candy that had been donated that the ticket that was at first worth a piece of candy became worth a handful of candy within an hour. Laura's bag was HUGE! Jasmine's bag was almost as big. Needless to say, I don't think we need to buy any candy for quite awhile. We are stocked!
Fun Fest was slammed with people. Kids of all ages came in for a while. It was a free thing our church wanted to offer the community. We had those blow-up bounce houses. We offered chili and baked goodies. It was great. So many people told me that they liked this more than just trick or treating alone. I think this is something we will do again. Last year's Fun Fest was a puppet show that, while awesome and a lot of fun, was no way as big as this. It's nice to make a positive contribution to our community.
