Our Newest Adventure Begins

The first and second days of homeschooling.
We've officially had three days of homeschooling. So far, I like it. It's a lot of work at times, but I enjoy teaching my daughter. She's not complained much. So far she only has complained when her sisters came home early yesterday and if she thinks something is too difficult.

Homeschooling was a tough decision. My husband wasn't sure that it was something we should do, and worried that Laura would be lonely with her older sisters at school. We both worried how I would teach 3rd grade with an 18 month old running around. So far, it hasn't been horrible, just challenging at times. But I look at the situation like this: Laura may have to wait here and there while I tend to her little sister, but at school she was competing with 20 some other kids. I still think she gets a lot more one on one attention this way.
I asked her today if she was enjoying learning at home. She kind of laughed and said she liked being able to chew gum in class or ride her bike on recess. I hope she continues to enjoy the simple pleasures. Of course she loves to rub it in to her sisters that she is done with school well before they finish...and with no homework.
