It rained the other day. Normally, this would be a routine thing. However, we have been living under severe drought conditions for weeks. On this day, it rained and rained. There wasn't a storm, no thunder and lightening. It was just wonderful, steady, glorious rain.
Kim asked me if she could take Megan outside to play in the rain. "Absolutely!" Kim has tried very hard to spend time with her sisters before she leaves for college in Missouri. Being 8 hours away makes quality time difficult, but she has to follow God's plans for her life.
Seeing them out there, you would have thought they were both five years old. It was such a delight to see them jumping in the puddles and trying to catch rain drops on their tongues.
I will miss my daughter. Her leaving tugs at my heartstrings deeply. I've tried to not feel the ache of her leaving, because I know she must do this. However, I will miss her every day. I love her deeply. I know God has amazing plans for her life, and I pray blessings over her as she follows what Christ has called her to do. When she comes home, other for holidays, she will be getting married next spring. I love watching what Christ is going to do in her life.
