Taking a Snow Day to Prepare for a Blizzard

We had a snow day today... sort of.  Laura and I spent the day preparing for the blizzard that is supposed to hit tomorrow.  We grabbed some groceries and supplies, ate lunch with my sister, and made sure my grandmother had enough supplies and food to last through the storm.
It started off as a clear day, but by the time I was returning home I was driving on slick roads.  Some snow was falling as a warm up for the upcoming event.   My oldest took this picture of me driving.  As you can see, behind me is nothing but white.
While Laura took a snow day to help mom prepare, Tasha stayed home and began some of her schooling that we had been waiting on.  She also baked bread and babysat the three year old.

The next couple of days may hold a lot of bad weather.  I am hoping I am prepared for whatever surprises the storm may bring.  Laura and Tasha will probably be doing school during the blizzard.  After all, since we can't go anywhere, we might as well do some work and save our days off for emergencies or warm, sunny weather.
