Some days, it is the little things that make all the difference in the world. I stumbled upon this picture when I was downloading the pics from my camera to the computer. Laura wrote this... on our Pastor's utility room floor. Before you think this was a bad thing, the pastor's wife was drawing on the floor too. She discovered the markers would wipe right off so she decided to have art time with my daughters while we were over at their home.
I've been waiting, somewhat impatiently, for the opportunity to buy a new digital camera. I know it won't be a top of the line, expensive one. It will probably just be a point and shoot with a zoom lens. However, since June, when my camera died, I have only had my camera on my cell phone to rely on. I have borrowed a camera from a friend a couple times, but I miss having a camera.
The days of counting down are almost over. However, I realized that the little camera on my phone has done okay. I mean, many of the pictures are blurry. There is no image stabilization. It's either too bright or too dark. I have to computer edit and fix the pictures all the time and often, they still are horrible. Yet, for months and months, I have managed to put some pictures on my blog every week. The picture of the writing on the tile was wonderful in that it was a message from my daughter to me.
My phone will still be with me wherever I go. So, despite the anticipation of a new camera, I will still use my phone to take pictures once in awhile. Sometimes I won't have my camera with me to get the moments when my children write on the tile.
