Every day Megan cries... when she has to leave VBS. She wants to stay, which is an awesome thing. Oh, having her cry isn't awesome. But the fact that she loves Vacation Bible School so much that she wants to stay for more is wonderful.
Jasmine snapped a picture today of Megan and me when I arrived to pick them up. Megan was unhappy already cause she knew that, if Mommy had arrived, it was nearly time to leave.
The leaders and helpers work so hard to get the children in our community excited about Jesus. One week a year is not enough. They know this, but they do what they can with the time they have. Oh, there are kids classes and things weekly, but so many un--churched children will never go to something like that. They will go to VBS with friends and because it is so fun. Parents that don't attend church even seem to like sending their children to VBS but wouldn't consider sending their children to a weekly program.
Tomorrow is the last day of the local VBS. Laura is insisting she wants to go to a different one too. I might just sign her up and let her go, even if it means driving to a different town. The fact that she is hungry for a little more of Jesus is a blessing to me.
