With the arrival of summer vacation, I have been able to take the time to get into my Word with more depth and attention. It's been months since I've been able to take the time for more than some brief reading and keeping up with lessons for church and school.
There will be planning and more planning for homeschooling. There will be Children's church lessons to plan and get ready. For the next couple weeks, however, I am giving myself as much of a break as I can and spending time with God.
The older girls will be busy over the next couple weeks with camp and work and their father coming to visit now that his deployment to Haiti is over. My step-daughter will be with her mother for the most part until June 21. That just leaves the younger children with me.
Every morning I get up and get out my Bible. I'm following a reading plan from One Year Bible. When I've read my daily reading, I then do my bible study. I've been working on Extraordinary by John Bevere with my Sunday School class at church. This study is amazing, especially concerning the Holy Spirit and Holiness. However, I am also wanting to begin a separate study of the Holy Spirit. I've been drawn to learn more about the One that lives inside me.
I've needed this time to recharge my batteries. This last year really took it out of me, and I hadn't realized how great the toll was.
