For Laura's birthday, Laura received a cute little bag with some gardening tools and seed packs. One of the packs contained sunflower seeds. She has been begging to plant them since she got them, but the weather just wasn't warm enough. She took time with Daddy over the weekend to plant her flowers.
Her little bag is adorable. I've even used a couple of her smaller shovels as I've been planting my vegetables. Laura feels like she fits in with the rest of us that are planting things this year. She has her flowers, and soon pumpkins, to care for daily as part of her responsibilities.
Daddy and Laura loved spending time together. Best of all, we both feel we are teaching Laura a lot just by giving her the responsibility for a few flowers. I feel like she is also getting some science training without her even realizing it is there.
