We have church tonight. I am looking forward to going. Yes, I enjoy going to church. This week just the added benefit of getting out of the house is nice. I was out and about a couple days ago, but the blowing and drifting snow has made leaving difficult since.
I let Laura go with Jasmine sledding today, which helped her. I've decided that, despite the poor nutritional quality and the expense, we are going to eat out at some restaurant with a playplace inside. Megan is bored, and when she is bored she finds trouble. Maybe if she can burn off some extra energy playing on a playyard of some type, she might calm down a little.
Personally, I've enjoyed being able to sit on the couch with a blanket and a good book. After a couple days of this, though, I'm ready to get out of here for a few hours. Winter can drag forever. Whether you call them the blues or the blahs, reading books under a blanket may be fine for a couple days, but eventually you just need to get out of the house.
Tasha got so bored she volunteered to shovel the sidewalks. I keep telling myself and the kids that winter doesn't last forever. Spring will be here eventually.
