Signal Mountain

Megan at Signal Point

We went sightseeing yesterday.  We headed to Chatanooga and went up Signal Mountain.  Megan, who was petrified of the mountains on the way here, fell in love with them.
Laura with her friend Diana at Signal Point

We started at Signal Point and then moved on to hiking.  We hadn't planned to hike, and three of us in flip-flops or sandals made the hike much more challenging.
Megan, overlooking a cliff, with our friend Roger explaining  that Lincoln had stood there.

We did it though.

We saw some beautiful sights and walked until my legs were jelly.  Megan did awesome for her first hike.  She kept going on some pretty rough terrain.

Laura did well for her first hike, but she didn't love it.  While her father and I love hiking, Laura doesn't.  I'm hoping she'll want to come to our summer hiking trips, but she might not be very enthusiastic.  She loved the views and hanging with her friend, however.

We still have other places we wish to see while we are down south visiting our friends.  I'm excited to see the sights!
