Piano Lessons

For a few weeks the girls have been taking piano lessons on Monday afternoons.  Today was the first day I got to take them myself.

It was fun to watch their progress.  I think, with time and practice, they could do well.  I was surprised at how quickly they were picking up reading the music.

My oldest, a music major, has been coming over once a week to teach music theory.  The weather hasn't been overly cooperative lately, so it's been a couple weeks since the girls could go to piano or have music theory.  They still did well.

I always wanted to be able for my homeschooling daughters to take music lessons.  It took until now before I could make it happen.  Actually lessons were the Christmas gift from my oldest daughter to her younger sisters.

It is a different path for our homeschool, but one I believe will be well worth the time and money.
