Moms have toys too. My favorite toys are my Nook and my new Nook Color... and my IPOD. Recently I passed my Nook over to my eleven year old. We are downloading a lot of books in pdf format or through Barnes and Noble for school. I have let Laura use my Nook before, but I felt she was too young to have one for herself.
Despite Megan trying to distract her sister, Laura was in love with the Nook. It's a first generation, black and white with e-ink technology. She has turned into quite the bookworm, so the Nook was a great idea for her.
She even read a story one day to her sister.
Speaking of the little sister, Megan LOVES to play games on my Nook Color. She has a blast with the cheap preschool games and free children's books that I was able to download in my apps. I watch her very carefully though, and I limit her time on it. With a computer screen, I don't want her eyes to strain by spending a lot of time watching it.
