I am on a fast. I usually don't talk about this kind of thing, but I wanted to be clear about how Satan can work. On the first day of the fast, I had to rush to the eye doctor to get an exam after my last contact ripped. I also received word that my grandmother had fallen and broken her hip. Only the basics of school were done, but I delved into my juices and vegetables.
On the second day of the fast, I awoke in the middle of the night with severe abdominal cramping. Before morning, I was throwing up. Added to that, I couldn't breath. Yep, Satan is on the full attack. For some reason, he isn't happy about this fast. Could be that when God called me to this fast last month, and several people decided to join in, God has a big plan? Bigger than the reasons I am fasting?
School did get done today. It was couch schooling... meaning I didn't leave the couch much, but I am claiming success. As soon as we were done I fell asleep for a nice nap.
I added in Sarah Young's Jesus Calling for kids. The recommended ages are six to twelve. It may be a tad bit over Megan's head, but she listened all the same. I love the fact that it is written as Jesus talking directly to the children. We also have Sheri Rose Shepherd's His Little Princess, but we aren't using it at the moment. We have used that one in the past, and it is a very well loved book by my girls.
I am hoping that tomorrow will find me mended.
