Christmas Concert

The sound of Christmas music always helps put everyone into the Christmas Spirit.  If there is one thing I can say about our local school, the Choir teacher is wonderful.  Though I hesitate to say this because I don't want recrimination for the school, this school still performs Christian Christmas carols.  Oh, it is mixed up with some secular Christmas songs, but the result is always beautiful.
Jasmine was an elf this year in the Christmas program.  She was adorable.  She came into the auditorium in a flowing choir robe.  After the first song, about half the kids were wearing elf costumes.  It added a lot of fun to the program.
My husband and youngest daughter were right beside me, watching the choir and enjoying the music.
While I love homeschooling, I do love the beautiful concerts that we are able to see during the year.  Many of the programs in our area still use Christian music in their schools for, not only Christmas programs, but competitions too.  My oldest daughter sang a beautiful Jewish song a couple years ago for State Competition... and she got Gold!
Christmas is about Christ.  It is so wonderful to have representations of Christ around during this season as a visual reminder of what is important.  I am blessed.
