The beginning of the school year often leads to some adjustments after a few days. Laura has been working for several weeks, but this was the first week we were going full speed instead of half speed. What I have discovered is that I have the schedule too full. With all that Laura is doing, I am not getting to Megan's schooling as I want. So, my plan is to rearrange some things.
We are doing Creation to Christ from Heart of Dakota, and the program is fantastic. However, I feel that the extra stuff I added just makes the day too long and time consuming for me. The extra stuff isn't needed, but was stuff I desired to do with my daughter. I think it is time to go back to the drawing board and do some tweaking.
Megan only finished half of her week "K", and I wanted to go more full time with her so we can finish the program twice before she begins Kindergarten.
It'll take me a couple weeks of tweaking to see what is the perfect fit for us for our schedule. I have to do this a bit every year. I have heard others do too, but I would love to hear from some others about common issues you deal with at the beginning of a school year.
