Soaking up the Sunshine

When our school day ended, we headed outside to enjoy the awesome weather. It has been sunny and 80 for a few days. I know that our warm weather won't last forever, so I am glad my children can absorb what they can before the cold sets in for winter. Megan was the first out the door. She played nicely on the play set for awhile, but the drawl of the dirt was too much for her.
Laura started out in jeans and a long-sleeved shirt. That didn't last long before the sun's rays got pretty warm. She went back inside to change into shorts.

The girls played together in the dirt, which I think is their favorite past-time. I briefly tried to keep Megan out of the dirt, but decided that was silly.

The fact is that this two year old loves to play in the dirt and doesn't mind getting dirty one bit.

We even pulled Tasha in on the action. She sat outside with Megan and smelled flowers (weeds) because Megan kept giving them to her.

The benefit of homeschooling is that often the work is done earlier than the public schooled kids. On beautiful days like this, they can go outside and enjoy the nice weather.
