Separate Corners

Concentration issues plagued our home today when the 18 year old came home. A case of H1N1 was confirmed at her school. A phone call to her specialist office told us we should bring her home for a couple days to attempt to protect her from the virus.
So, with the oldest home, all concentration seemed to go out the window. It's funny how a new person added to the mix can blow the routine.
The girls decided to go to different places to study. Tasha headed for the living room to sit at the coffee table. She doesn't seem to be too distracted by Wonder Pets on the TV.
Kim spread herself out at the dining room table. (No, those aren't all her cups.) I told her I wanted her working downstairs and not hibernating in her bedroom. She'd only fall asleep up there. Megan switches from watching bits here and there of her shows and playing toys.

Laura went to Daddy's desk. She was having the worst problems concentrating today. She bombed a math test that she should have sailed through. I ended up giving her practice problems and then having her redo the test. I'm not sure why she's having such issues with math this year, but I'm not entirely sure how to help her. One day she gets it and the next she totally messes it up. She's making progress, but it isn't what I would hope.

The school part of the day is nearly over. We still have my favorite part, Heart of Dakota. I've started to attempt to use a schedule, but it seems like everything has gotten off track more than once today. Then, I feel stressed. I'm not sure a time schedule is the best solution for me. I did get to go walking this morning and I got some time in the Bible. So, maybe there 's just kinks that need worked out before I totally scrap the plan.
