Spring Cleaning

I am planning a light week. Oh, Laura will cover Bible, Math, Language, Spelling, and Handwriting. She will begin Sarah, Plain and Tall. Ironically we are also reading about another Sara in A Little Princess. However, I've lightened the load a bit this week. I've cut her grammar down to mostly a page a day this week. I've scheduled no Social Studies or Science. Why am I doing this?

I am calling it Life Skills. Basically, that is just a fancy way of saying that we are going to spring clean the house. On this coming Saturday we are going to have a party for Laura's 9th Birthday. (I can't believe my little girl is going to be 9!!) I am refusing to have a party in this house unless it is in better condition.. It feels like the clutter is overwhelming me and there is just unorganization everywhere.

Friday we aren't having school. I have an appointment with my older daughter an hour away. I don't forsee getting back with enough time to do schoolwork. I hope to get what I need for the party that day also.
