Our Family

All the girls were home today. Odd, for Valentine's Day, to have all my girls including the teenagers with no plans. My oldest was off work. It was our weekend to have my step-daughter with us.

This morning my husband asked what we wanted to do for Valentine's Day. For Christmas I had received gift certificates for Sears Portrait Studio. However, with the crazy schedules of this family, we had yet to be able to get family pictures taken...until today. I counted myself truly blessed that Sears had open appointments on a Saturday.

Off we went to the studio. The results are truly wonderful. This is definitely better than school pictures.

It was a nice day all in all. Most of the restaurants were slammed with dining couples, but we ended up at Denny's. They even had a chicken dinner that I could eat with my gall bladder issues. We bummed around Carpenter's Son and Walmart. It's late, and we have church tomorrow, but I am not overly tired. I am happy and thankful for the fun and wonderful day we had together.
