Snow, Blowing, School dismissed

I tried rushing Laura today. I got word about ten in the morning that the local schools were sending students home. I knew that once Laura's sisters came home, Laura would lose all motivation.
The girls came home around 1:30. It wasn't long before the older three girls were zoning on the couch. Laura did some reading, but other than that she kept stalling and poking around. I just gave up for the day. The only thing we missed was the read aloud.
My concern now is for tomorrow. The winds are supposed to pick up tonight. Wednesday night church was cancelled. There is a two hour delay for school tomorrow morning already. If school gets cancelled, I wonder if I'll be able to get Laura to do much without having to be mean.
