Paper-Mache Worlds at MPact Girls

All the girls, from Rainbows to Stars, joined the Prim's class tonight. The Prims have been studying the days of Creation, and were making paper-mache worlds. It looked like so much fun that all the girls joined in. I thought it was perfect because it goes with Laura learning about the Solar System in Science.

They took strips of newspaper and coated them in a mixture of flour, water, and salt. Then they put a thin layer over a half-blown up balloon. Last, we hung the worlds by ribbon from the ceiling in the center of the fellowship hall. (Thank goodness there are no dinners or anything this week.) There they will hopefully dry by Sunday morning. Next week we paint them.

It was messy fun, which for girls between 4 and 11 is the best kind of fun.
