Christmas Eve moments

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve with family. The roads were clean enough for travel, so we all gathered together. We made some wonderful memories as we ate, opened gifts, and just spent time together. We were truly blessed to have my grandmother still here with us after she almost died earlier this year.
Christmas is such a special time of year. This year was even more special. We went through a scary time with my grandmother. My brother-in-law just returned from a deployment in Iraq. In general it has just been a rough year. Celebrating the birth of Jesus, praising him despite our difficulties and challenges, and counting all the blessings we have with family and friends is what Christmas it truly about. I thank God for all the wonderful blessings he has given me.
