The Groom and Bride |
On Saturday my oldest daughter, Kim, married. After a year-long engagement, a car accident last year that almost took the life of this young man, and numerous hospitalizations for my diabetic girl, the two were finally wed.
The wedding was beautiful and very special. Kim sang a song as part of her vows to her fiancee. He spoke such words of love to my daughter as part of his vows that many were moved to tears.
I have spent years praying for my daughter's future spouse. Next to salvation, I have come to believe that choosing a spouse is the most important decision someone can make. I was at peace with Kim's choice for her husband. He is a godly young man that plans to serve God with his life and career. He is one semester from being a licensed pastor.
The wedding was breathtaking. Kim's biological father is in South Korea and was Skyped in to view the ceremony. My husband, Kim's step-father, has taken care of Kim since she was seven. When he walked Kim down the aisle to give her away, it was a tender moment.
The reception was fun and touching and beautiful. I even got a special dance with my daughter. Surrounded by family and friends, the day is full of precious memories that I'll cherish forever.
I'll be sharing some of those memories as the pictures are edited by my amazing sister photographer at Kendal Nicole Photography.
