I went for a walk today.  It's so pretty outside.  All the artists in the world cannot compete with the wonder and breathtaking beauty of God's creation.  I took LOTS of pictures!
We have a local pond affectionately called the "Bayou".  It's down the road about a half mile.  My sister has taken my kids' pictures there a few times.  I've taken my kids on nature walks there.  It's beautiful.  Fall only makes it more beautiful.
I love taking nature shots.  October is the best month for pictures.  The lighting is perfect.  The colors explode as the trees change.
When I take my walks, I try to spend a little time with God.  Some days I listen to worship and praise music on my Ipod  Sometimes that same Ipod is playing one of my favorite podcasts.  And sometimes, I just take along my camera and take pictures of the beautiful world God created.
I played a little with some of the pictures to get the lighting I wanted.  By the time I was nearly done, I was losing sunlight fast.  I don't yet own a attachable fill flash.  Natural light works best.  I was able to get so many wonderful shots before my light faded.
Just after I took this shot above a couple of fisherman showed up to fish on the river.  I almost wanted to hang around and grab some shots of them... but I felt like that would be intruding.
In the picture below, the view just took my breath.  I walked around a corner, and it was like the trees were ablaze.  The oranges and yellows had caught the sunlight.  It was overwhelmingly beautiful!
Like I said, It was an amazingly beautiful autumn day!
