Our Fourth of July Celebration

It was a busy Independence Day.  We started out with a parade.  Laura and Megan got to ride on the VBS float  All the children were very hot by the time the parade was over.  Yet, despite the heat, they totally enjoyed waving to everyone and throwing candy to the children on the sidelines.

Then, after some chores, we made the special tablecloth.

Next our guests arrived.  We had an amazing time with family.  We cooked out and had some amazing food.  We visited with each other while the kids played.

Finally, as night fell, we walked down to the park and watched some awesome fireworks.  Megan loved the fireworks!  She was awed by them.  I loved watching her be so thrilled to see the explosions in the sky.
