Kitchen Project

It started out as a realization that the cabinets in my kitchen looked terrible.  The paint I had coated the cabinets in years ago was chipping and peeling.  Half of the pretty knobs I had installed way back when were now missing.

So, I got the brilliant idea that I would strip and sand down my cabinets.  I forgot how very much I hate striping wood.  However, since buying all new cabinets is out of my price range, there aren't many options.
Jasmine volunteered to help me, which was a surprise.  Usually, the kids run and hide at the mention of a project.  Jasmine enjoys hands-on work, though.  She has knack for it too.  Together, we officially stripped the fronts of my top cabinet doors.  We still have a LONG way to go, but I've allotted myself however long I need to get my project completed.

So... Here's to another house project while planning school.  Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment.
