No, It wasn't raining. Megan was outside this morning just having a great time playing. This beat up umbrella kept her imagination going for most of the morning.
Too often I think we are too quick to provide entertainment for our children. Often, if we just give them time and space, they will entertain themselves. In fact, they are more creative this way then if they don't have to think for themselves or provide their own entertainment.
Turn off that TV, and send your kids outside for awhile. Take them to a park or, better yet, an empty field or a trail. Let kids be kids, without constantly being scheduled for a bunch of activities or vegging in front of video games or mindless television shows. Enjoy summer!
