First Winter Snow

The First Snowfall
There's a peace and a beauty about the first winter snow.  It adds to the magic of the Christmas season.  After Christmas, the snow loses its appeal for me, but until then it adds to the wonder of the season.
It's the first snow that is untouched.  No one has walked in it yet.  No one has tainted the pristine white with dirt.  It's an inviting presence to enjoy the purity of it.  It's a tempting presence for children to play in it.  It is beautiful.
