You wouldn't know it by the warm temperatures today, but all you have to do is look around to see that Autumn is here. Colors are glowing like a painting. Leaves of yellows, reds, oranges, mixed with the green is filling the landscape.
I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year. Yes, I think the colors are incredibly beautiful. I just dread the coming winter and the cooler temperatures. Today I decided to just enjoy the beauty of the scenery.
It struck me as kind of odd, this mix of seasons. Today we had warm weather. My garden is still producing tomatoes and peppers. The first frost hasn't hit yet, though I am watching the night time temperatures pretty closely. A warm spell has hit over the last couple days with temps in the 70s and 80s during the daytime. Yet, the leaves are changing. The grass is drying out. The squirrels are gathering their nuts for winter. Even the flowers in the flower garden are changing.
The beauty of this season can't be missed. I am anxious to borrow a good camera and go out and take senior pictures of Tasha while the background selections are so breathtaking.
