Treating Ourselves

Spring Break had been nice... until today.  The weather turned cold and rainy.  We went to the church to get things ready for our monthly food pantry.  To treat ourselves, we went to eat at an authentic, local, Mexican restaurant.  YUM!  Thursday is dollar taco day.  Of course, one taco is never enough for any of us except Megan.

Jasmine has spent part of the week fighting a cold, but she was well enough to go to eat.

Tasha and Kim had fun clowning around.  Many Kim's schoolmates have left for Florida for Spring Break.  Kim had no desire to join that ruckus.  She has work and home and friends.  She is just beginning to sell Mary Kay to help with money while she works and goes to college.

Laura's smile can light a room.  She spent her time waiting for our food to arrive by playing on her sister's phone.
This may look like a sweet picture, but just a few moments before Kim was using that arm to pretend to choke Jasmine.  Of course, she'd never do that in real life.

We don't treat ourselves often.  Our finances don't allow much "Treat Ourselves" money.  However, I wanted to do something with the family all together over spring break.  Everyone is growing up so fast.  I want to take advantage of the times we all have together.  You never know when God will move one of them off on their own.  While the girls have done a little running, and Kim has to work off and on, we have tried to spend this Spring Break as a family.
