Easter Preparatons Begin Early

Easter is coming soon.  It is already March. Our church does an outreach every year for our community.  We hold a gigantic Easter Egg Hunt.  Now, there are debates on whether that is the right venue to reach out for Christ.  An Easter Egg Hunt?

However, I choose to believe that when we are reaching out to a community, we need to sometimes provide something fun.  Last fall we also did a Harvest fest with bounce houses and hay rides.  Why should our community think serving Jesus has to be dull?

With Easter on the way,  the time has come to begin stuffing the thousands of plastic Easter eggs we are going to need.  My home has already begun.  My daughter was stuffing eggs yesterday.    She did fine until the two year old thought she wanted to eat the candy.  We ended up having to put some of the stuff up until a more convenient time.

I figure it is good for my girls to work and help.  Laura is coming upon her last years to enjoy the Egg Hunt.  I want her to know that stuff like that takes work, and that there isn't always a reward on earth.  Some times the rewards are waiting for us.  And who knows, we are hoping to reach lives for Christ where we are.  We are praying that God uses something like our Easter Egg Hunt to touch hearts for HIM.
