In Honor of the Bride-to-Be!

We had my daughter's bridal shower today.  It was a beautiful time with family and friends.

Tasha will be married in just a few weeks!   Nearly a year ago she almost died of a surgery that didn't quite go as planned.  Now, a year later, after two more surgeries, numerous challenges and setbacks, healing from it all while managing diabetes, my daughter is celebrating the life God has for her.

She smiled a lot today.  I pray she felt the love of all of us as we played games and shared our precious memories with her and showered her with gifts.

We even played a game where others had to guess her age in various pictures throughout her growing up years.  Those pictures were such a reminder of all the years, the adventures, the love.

Tasha is loyal; loving others with all of herself.  I pray she knows how much she is loved in return.

She will begin life as a wife soon.  I pray she will know the love of God and let Him lead her heart towards her husband.  Marriage is tough at times, and it takes the Lord to make it through those times when all a person wants to do is quit.

I pray there is more love in her marriage than strife, more peace than upset, more calm waters than storms.  Tasha has dealt with more than many do in a lifetime.  I pray she finds her rest in the only place where it is guaranteed... In Jesus.
