Decorating the Tree

The night before Tasha's surgery, my family gathered to do our traditional "Trim the Tree" night.  Over the last few years we often combined this with my husband's birthday.  However, with Tasha's surgery, we wanted to be able to let her enjoy the family time.  We knew that after she would be restricted and sore and wouldn't be able to join in with the rest of the gang.

We had a great time, even though things weren't the same.  Instead of our big, live tree, we had an artificial one.  It was smaller than usual, so we joked that the tree couldn't hold all our ornaments. 

I cherish the time with my children.  They are all growing so quickly!  Each day is a gift.
