Bridgit Mendler Concert

Lately, I've been pondering field trips... And our lack of them.  My kids are such hands-on, visual learners.  And yet, we've struggled financially a lot recently and couldn't pay for expensive trips... Or cheap trips.

But I want to take them.  I want my kids to see and experience bits of the world, while they are still in the safety and security of home.  I want to make memories with my kids.

So... My goal has been to plan for these things.  When my sister asked to take Laura to a Bridgit Mendler (Teddy from Good Luck Charlie) concert, I thought she would enjoy it.

We mostly listen to Christian music in our home.  I'm very careful about what music my children listen to.  However, Laura likes Bridgit Mendler.  Since I had let Jasmine go to see Casting Crowns a few weeks earlier, I knew this would be harmless.

Laura had an enjoyable time.  My sister... Had her hands full!  She took her son, her friend's daughter, and Laura.  It was raining at first, but they got seats just a couple rows back.

I'm glad I let her go.  Laura was thrilled when, before the concert, Bridgit and her band and crew prayed together onstage. Laura didn't expect that from a more secular performer, but it thrilled her heart.  Hearing that, it thrilled mine too.
