My Daughter is Engaged!

In the midst of her first missions trip, my daughter Tasha, got more than she bargained for.  Her boyfriend proposed.

Tasha was my first homeschooling graduate.  She has been in college, studying social work while working part time.

Her fiancé, Auston, is also in college.  He has a heart for missionary work and longs to be a missionary pilot.

He deeply desired to share his love of missions and the people of Nicaragua with Tasha.  So, he decided to take her with him on this trip, his seventh.  This us her first time out of the country with the exception of a brief jaunt through Canada when she was young.

Yesterday, I received the excited phone call that I already knew was coming.  Auston had approached my husband and I last week before they left to formally ask for our blessing. My daughter was surprised and excited. Auston was excited to propose in a country he has fallen in love with.

Her heart is to be a wife and mom.  I know that God has amazing plans for my daughter.  I pray for her and Auston a lot, desiring God's best in their lives.
