Balancing the Scales

Jasmine has been taking Physical Science this year.  I bought the advanced program for high school credit from Heart of Dakota.  The projects in it are perfect for my hands-on learner.  She has built a glider, a steam boat, a house frame, and now a scale.  She has so much fun with the projects.  Dad helps out occasionally when he is home.

She is going to take Chemistry next year.  I am really hoping to find a quality program with lots of visual and hands-on lessons.  The benefit of homeschooling is that the lessons can be tailored to how the student learns.  That is an incredible benefit for a student that learns best by doing and seeing, not just reading.
