Slow, Summer Days

The days are long.  The heart is oppressive.  And yet, this is my favorite and most relaxing time of year.  We're not doing any school at the moment.  I'm reading lots (for fun and not for school).

My garden is growing.  I'm planning what I want to freeze.  I'm going to attempt to learn to can foods.
I'm loving that I have time to pray. I pray as I hang clothes on the line. I pray as I pull weeds. I pray as I sweep the floors. Time with my Lord has become so special and cherished to me.

I'm enjoying the simplicity of summer. I'm loving the simplicity so much that I'm ready to make some changes to simplify many things.  I'm going where the Lord leads.  Only He knows where He is taking me.
