Puppy Love

It required a few desperate hours of pleading with Dad.  When we saw the announcement on Facebook, Jasmine was instantly asking.  The dog that had given birth to our Sophie had delivered another litter... And they were old enough to leave.

It took some convincing.  Dad was a little worried about chaos reigning with two dogs.  However, two other factors came in to play.

First, while we still have two cats, we won't be getting any new cats. It was discovered recently they mom (me) has a mild cat allergy.  "No new kitties" has becomes the rule.

Second, Jasmine was promised that if there was another girl from that mom & dad, we would get her. After all, we love Sophie.  She is such a good-tempered dog.

Adding a new puppy is a lot of work, but it is a great responsibility for my children.  Jasmine, at 16, is more than ready.  This is her puppy.  She will be the one required to feed, groom, and potty train the new addition.
Jasmine named the puppy Nala.  The Lion King is one of her favorite Disney movies.
