Mommy's Bad Day

I woke up with a sense of deja vu.  The cold I struggled with for weeks, that had disappeared a month ago, seemed to have returned.  I bravely began my day, determined to ignore the symptoms.  I did laundry, began some pre-plants for my garden, and got dinner in the crock-pot.  I supervised Laura's math and let Megan work on handwriting and counting.

I only sat down for a moment. I was enjoying reading a book on my Nook. The next thing I knew, it was two hours later. I had fallen asleep.

When I awoke, Megan had the Nook again and was watching cartoons on it. Yes, the four year old is getting very proficient at working technology when it suits her purposes.

Needless to say, my to-do list never got completed. I still feel as if I could sleep for hours.   The kids, however, were fine. Laura finished her school. Meg kept herself occupied without her older sisters yelling at her. The older ones watched her so their poor, sick mommy could rest.

I am blessed with great children. Now I just hope I get better quickly.
