Some Ninevah Building and Direction Following

Megan's Ninevah
We are studying the story of Jonah this week.  Megan has learned about Jonah at church, on Veggietales, and even in other Bible stories we have read at home.  She knows the basis of the story.  She enjoys it though.  In our lesson Megan was to build the city of Ninevah.  She basically made a giant tower, but she enjoyed the process.  She followed the city I was building, but then said it wasn't big enough.  So, she added on.
Recently in Heart of Dakota Megan has been working on following directions.  Mommy gives her a sheet of paper and has Megan follow the commands I give.  The picture she is to draw goes along with the story.  Megan does this very well.  She enjoys being creative, but she will follow directions when asked.
She is learning so much for preschool.  Her skills are improving every week.  We are doing a ton of independent reading along with Heart of Dakota.  We have read about pumpkins, why leaves change color in the fall, and even more about the human body (Megan's current curiosity).  I am continually amazed at how natural it is for her to be curious and to want to learn.  I hope to cherish that and to never let anything make that love fade.
